WHO IS JOJO?
I am Jojo Mill-Graves III, a Junior Special Education Major from Houston, TX by way of Takoradi, Ghana. I joined SGA in the Fall of 2018 as a Panther Aid (intern) for the Senator of Graduate School. I immediately fell in love with this organization and its mission which propelled me to run for a position. On April 2, 2019, I was elected to serve as the Senator of Housing II - University Housing, a position I still hold as well as Internal Affairs Chairperson for the 2020-2021 school year. Throughout my three years in SGA, I've taken on different roles and responsibilities, but my favorite of them all is being of service to my fellow students at Prairie View A&M University.
JOJO'S TRACK RECORD
Right after my elections, the View II construction began which is now completely finished and students were able to move in this school year. With the help of former President Princess Ojuolape we were able to advocate for residents in phase 3 to get them a laundry facility on campus. We have worked to ensure that we have an effective leasing process. Hosted townhalls to receive candid student feedback. We went door to door to every housing complex to receive candid feedback from students. We have been able to introduce a number of legislations to ensure that SGA’s governing documents are up to date and effective. We advocated for ACC’s management to allow more students to live on campus during the winter break. We are still working to ensure that we resolve all safety and security issues on campus. We have been able to sit on Homecoming Planning committees, the 2019 PV Choice Committee, Student Allocation Fee Committee, Housing Taskforce Committee, Residential Hall Association, Elections Committee where we helped develop the first-ever PV Virtual Elections. We were also able to spearhead the 2020 Unknown 8 Gala, one of the last in-person events on campus before the Pandemic. We are currently advocating to ensure that on-campus residents who are 21+ are permitted to have alcohol in their dorm with minor restrictions.

REVIVING THE HILL
Reviving The Hill aims to reignite the spirit and traditions of Prairie View and to ensure that Prairie View enhances the engagement between students, faculty/staff, alumni and the City of Prairie View.
INCLUSIVENESS
Educate the student body and student organizations about resources, opportunities, and events related to cultural diversity.
• Ensuring that meetings/minutes are online and accessible to all.
• Protecting ALL panthers by effective communication between SGA and the Student Body.
ENGAGEMENT
•    Increase collaboration with student organizations and more support focused on student-owned businesses.
•    The importance of safety on campus for all students: Cameras in all housing hallways and parking lots.
•    Bridging the Gap between City of PV and PVAMU: Establish a PVAMU Guest series featuring distinguished alumni.
MENTAL HEALTH
•    Advocating for an increase of health services budget to adequately and effectively serve the student body.
•    Provide opportunities to increase community engagement between PV students, alumni and the community.
•    Advocate to ensure that spaces are created for students with emotional support animals.
